Your personal information is retained only for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy and to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations. In particular, our professional order requires that each patient record be retained for a period of five (5) years following the date of the last service provided (Section 9 of the Regulation respecting the effects, offices and other premises of acupuncturists).

The personal information contained in your patient file is stored through the Go Rendezvous platform, whose servers are located in Canada.

We may use third-party service providers, such as Go Rendezvous and Google Analytics, to support our operations. These providers have access only to the information necessary to perform their services and are required to comply with confidentiality and security obligations.

Right to Object and Withdraw

We are committed to providing you with the right to object to and withdraw your personal information.

The right to object allows individuals to refuse the use of their personal information for certain purposes identified at the time of collection.

The right to withdraw allows individuals to request that their personal information no longer appear in, for example, a mailing list.

Privacy Incident

We take all reasonable measures to protect the personal information entrusted to us. Despite the security measures in place, a privacy incident may occur.

In the event of a privacy incident presenting a risk of serious harm, we undertake to:

  • Promptly take the necessary measures to mitigate the consequences of the incident;

  • Assess the nature and significance of the information involved;

  • Notify affected individuals as soon as possible, where required by law;

  • Notify the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec, in accordance with applicable requirements;

  • Maintain a register of privacy incidents, as required under Law 25.
